விண்ணக மகிழ்ச்சியும்…மண்ணக சாட்சியும்!

கிறிஸ்துவில் பிரியமுள்ளவர்களே சிறார்களே இளைய உள்ளங்களே சகோதர சகோதிரியரே

இயேசுவின் விண்ணேற்பு ஞாயிறு திருவிழா வாழ்த்துக்கள். உலக அன்னையர் தினமாக சிறப்பிக்கும் இந்நாளில் நம் தாய் வழியாக நாம் பெற்ற வாழ்வுக்கு விசுவாசத்திற்கு நன்றி செலுத்தி அவர்கள் பெற்று தந்த கிறிஸ்தவ மகிழ்ச்சி நம்மில் எந்நாளும் தங்க வேண்டி இன்றைய திருப்பலியில் இணைந்;து செபிப்போம்.

ஒருமுறை இயேசு விண்ணகத்தில் பேதுருவை அணுகி நமது புத்தகத்தில் பெயர்கள் இல்லாதவர்களை ஏன் விண்ணகத்தில் அனுமதிக்கிறாய்? அவர்களுக்கு ஏன் விண்ணகத்தின் கதவுகளை திறந்துவிடுகிறாய்? என்று கேட்க பேதுருவோ பதிலாக ஆண்டவரே அவர்கள் பெயர்கள் நம் புத்தகத்தில் இல்லை என எனக்கு தெரியும் எனவே நான் அவர்களுக்கு விண்ணகத்தின் கதவை திறக்கவில்லை மாறாக உம் அன்னை மரியாதான் சிறிய ஜன்னலை அவர்களுக்கு திறந்து அனுமதித்தார் என்றார். விண்ணகத்தின் மகிழ்ச்சி எனக்கு கிடைக்குமா? இது நம்முடைய நிரந்தர கேள்வியாக இருக்கிறது. பலமாதங்களாக மருத்துவமனையிலோ அல்லது படுத்த படுக்கையாக நோயில் இருப்பவர்கள் கேட்கின்ற கேள்வி நான் படும் வேதனைகள் வலிகள் மற்றும் துன்பங்கள் எனக்கு உத்தரிக்கும் நிலையின் துன்பங்களை நாட்களை குறைக்குமா என்பதாகும். மேலும் நான் நரக வேதனைபடுகிறேன் என்ற பயன்பாட்டோடு பலர் பேசுவதை நாம் கேட்கின்றோம். மேமாதத்தில் இருக்கின்ற கடுமையான வெயிலின் கொடுமையை சிலர் நரகவெயிலாகயிருக்கின்றது. நாம் நரகவெயிலின் அனுபவத்தை இங்கேயே அனுபவிக்கின்றோம் என்று உரையாடுவதையும் நாம் காண்கின்றோம். ஒரு அன்றாட உலக அனுபவத்தை எதார்த்;தத்தை உத்தரிக்கும் நிலைக்கும் மற்றும் நரக சூழ்நிலைக்கும் ஒப்பிடும் நாம் ஏன் விண்ணக மகிழ்ச்சியை இங்கே நம் மத்தியில் காண்பது கிடையாது.

இறைவனை விண்ணகம் சென்றுவிட்டார் என்று இறைவனை எங்கோ விண்ணகத்தில் நம்மை விட்டு தூரமாக நம் நிலைமைக்கு அப்பாற்பட்டவாராக கண்டு விண்ணக மகிழ்ச்சி இங்கு இல்லை என முடிவு செய்து நரக உத்தரிக்கும் நிலையை மட்டும் காண்கின்றோம். இயேசுவின் விண்ணேற்பு ஞாயிறு மரியாளின் பாதையில் விண்ணக மகிழ்ச்சியை மண்ணகத்தில் சாட்சி பகரும் மக்களாக வாழ நம்மை அழைத்து சவால்விடுகிறது.

இன்றைய முதல் வாசகத்தில் லூக்கா திருத்தூதர்களின் பணியிணை எடுத்துரைக்கும் பொழுது அவர்களின் அனுபவத்தை சவாலாக பிறருக்கு எடுத்துரைக்கிறார். சிறப்பாக இன்றைய இறைவார்த்தை வரிகள் இயேசுவின் இரண்டாம் வருகை உடனேயிருக்கும் என வானத்தையே பார்த்து விண்ணக மகிழ்ச்சி உடனே தேடிவரும் என்று அன்றாட உணவுக்கு உழைக்கசெல்லாது ஒதுங்கி செயலற்றுஇருந்த உள்ளங்களுக்கு ஒருபாடமாக அமைகிறது. வானத்தை அண்ணார்ந்து பார்க்கவேண்டாம் செயல்படுங்கள் உங்களில் உங்கள் மத்தியில் தூயஆவிதரும் பிரசன்னத்தில் உயிர்த்த இயேசு பிரசன்னமாகயிருக்கிறார். அவரே விண்ணத்தின் மகிழ்ச்சி இந்த விண்ணக மகிழ்ச்சியான உங்களில் பிரசன்னமாகயிருக்கும் உயிர்த்த கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு சாட்சிபகருங்கள் என்று சொல்லி இம்மகிழ்ச்சியின் சாட்சியாக மண்ணகத்தில் எருசலேம் தொடங்கி யூதேயா சமாரியா முழுவதிலும் மற்றும் உலகின் கடையெல்லைவரை என் சாட்சியாகவேண்டும் என்ற அழைப்பு நமக்கும் இன்றும் தொடர்கிறது. திருத்தந்தை பிரான்சிஸ் மண்ணக சாட்சியாய் உயிர்த்த கிறிஸ்துவின் பிரசன்னத்தை அனைவரிலும் வெளிப்டுத்துவது நமக்கு சிறப்பு பாடமாகும்.

லூக்கா இன்றை நற்செய்தியிக்கும் முதல்வாசக திருத்தூதர்கள் பணிநூலுக்கும் ஆசிரியராகயிருந்து எந்தவிதத்தில் விண்ணக மகிழ்ச்சி மண்ணகத்தில் சாட்சியாகவேண்டும் என தெளிவுபடுத்துகிறார். இரண்டு வாசகங்களிலும் அவரால் சில வார்த்தைகள் கையாளப்பட்டு பயன்படுத்தப்படுவதை காண்கின்றோம். ஒன்று: எருசலேம். எருசலேம் இஸ்ராயேல் மக்களுக்கு மிகவும் முக்கியமான மையமான இடம் அவர்கள் எகிப்தில் அடிமைகளாகயிருந்தபொழுது பாபிலோனில் நாடுகடத்தபட்டு அந்நியர்களாகயிருந்த தருணத்தில் அவர்கள் நம்பிக்கையோடு பார்த்தது எருசலேம் நகரத்தையே. எருசலேம் ஆலயம் மற்றும் நகரம் தாக்கப்பட்டு அழிவுக்குள்ளானபொழுது அதைமீண்டும் புதுப்பித்து உருவாக்கும் பொழுது தங்கள் வாழ்வையும் புதுப்பித்து உருவாக்கினார்கள். தாவீதோடு இணைந்து எருசலேம் ஆலயத்தில் நன்றிபலி செலுத்தி மகிழ்ந்து ஆர்பரித்தனர் என நாம் படிக்கின்றோம். அவர்களுக்கு எருசலேம் மகிழ்ச்சியின் நம்பிக்கையின் இடமாகயிருந்ததுபோல மீட்பின்வரலாற்றிலும் தொடர்ந்துயிருந்தது. ஆனால் இயேசுவின் பாடுகள் மரணம் எருசலேமில் நடந்ததால் திருத்தூதர்கள் எருசலேமை விட்டு நகர விரும்பினர் இங்கு இயேசு எருசலேம் என் உயிர்ப்பின் விண்ணேற்பின் இடமும் கூட நான் உங்களோடு உலகமுடிவுவரை எந்நாளும்இருப்பேன் இந்த விண்ணக மகிழ்ச்சிக்கு இங்கு தொடங்கி உலகமுழுவதும் என் சாட்சியாகயிருங்கள் என அனுப்புகிறார். மற்ற இரண்டு வார்த்தைகள் உலகமுழுவதும் அல்லது உலகின் கடையெல்லைவரை மேலும் என் சாட்சிகளாயிருங்கள் என்பதாகும்.

திருத்தந்தை பிரான்சிஸ் குருத்து ஞாயிறு திருப்பலியின்பொழுது சோகத்தின் மக்களாய் இருக்காதீர்கள். கிறிஸ்தவன் கிறிஸ்தவள் என்றும் சோகத்தோடுயிருக்ககூடாது என்று நாம் மகிழ்ச்சியின் மக்கள் என நினைவூட்டினார். கடந்த வெள்ளி திருப்பலியின்பொழுது அதை மீண்டும் இவ்வாறு தெளிவுபடுத்தினார். கிறிஸ்துவின் உயிர்ப்பும் மற்றும் விண்ணேற்பும் சீடர்களை மகிழ்ச்சியின் திருத்தூதர்களாக நமக்கு காட்டுகிறது. நாமும் மகிழ்ச்சியின் மக்களாக சாட்சிபகர அழைக்கப்படுகிறோம். இம்மகிழ்;ச்சி இறைவனின் சிறப்புகொடையாகும். இம்மகிழ்ச்சி எதிலிருந்து வருகிறது. இறைதந்தையோடுயிருக்கும் இயேசு நம்மிலும் நம்மோடு பிரசன்னமாகயிருக்கிறார் என்பதே அம்மகிழ்ச்சியாகும் இதைபிறரோடு பகிர்ந்து அனைவருக்கும் சாட்சிபகரவேண்டும் என அழைப்புவிடுக்கின்றார். கொலம்பியாவின் சாலமோன் ஜெரமிலோ என்ற 3வயது சிறுவனின் திருப்பலிசெலுத்தும் வீடியோ ய+டியுபில் ஆயிரக்கணக்கான மக்களின் கவனத்தைஈர்த்துயிருக்கிறது. கிறிஸ்மஸ்க்கு எனக்கு எந்தபொருளும் வேண்டாம் குருவானவரின் உடையும் திருப்பலிபொருள்களும் வேண்டும் எனகேட்டு பெற்றுகொண்டான். தாயில்லாத அச்சிறுவi அவனின் பாட்டி தான் வாரந்தோறும் செவ்வாய் மற்றும் ஞாயிறு திருப்பலிக்கு அழைத்துசெல்வதுஉண்டு. பாட்டியின் மகிழ்ச்சிய சாட்சிஅச்சிறுவனில் எந்hளும் தங்கட்டும். அன்னைமரியாளின் பாதையில் நம் அனைவரின் தாய்மார்கள் நமக்குபெற்று தந்த அந்த விசுவாசத்திற்கு மகிழ்ச்சிக்கு சாட்சியாகயிருப்போம்-ஆமென்.

My Witnesses of joy and hope………
Acts1:1-11, Eph1:17-23, Lk24:46-53

Dear brothers and sisters, we are called to be witnesses of the risen Lord in world today. The Risen Lord is alive and active in the Church and world today, likewise the Church and the mission is full of life through our life of witness. The celebration of Mothers day may renew the faith and Christian values taught by our mothers through their silent and sacrificial love for us. We shall thank God for our mothers and grandmothers in this Eucharistic Celebration.

Jesus came up to Peter in Heaven and asked, how did you allow these persons to heaven while their names are not in our diary of good deeds? Why did you open the gates of heaven for them? Peter replied, My Lord, I know their names are not in our diary, I did not open the door for them but it is your mother Mary opened the window for them. Not only Mother Mary all our mothers have a soft corner. In the footsteps of Mother Mary our mothers showed the path of faith and taught us God’s love. So we wish and pray for all our mothers and grandmothers thanking God for sending them in to our life.

After attending a convention led by Billy Graham a woman wrote to him. “Dear Sir, I feel that God is calling me to preach the gospel. But the trouble is that I have twelve children. What shall I do?” The televangelist replied: “Dear Madam, I am delighted to hear that God has called you to preach the Gospel. I am even more delighted to hear that He has already provided you with a congregation in your own home.”

Some claim that God failed. Others live as if Christ was absent. Still others simply don’t seem to care. Boston bomb blast followed by cruel death and people survived with amputation, last week we know the story of three girls abducted in their neighborhood by known and familiar people and the violence and threat between countries which creates unrest all these raise questions. Is this God’s fault? Or is it our fault? The answer is obvious. Failure is ours. God is with us. God has always been with us. God will always be with us in the future. The Ascension is not His departure; God is not absent rather He is very much present. The word “ascend” in English often implies that one “goes up” under one’s own. The image we have of the Ascension is that of departing, going away, disappearing; So Ascension offers and assures us a new way of presence of Jesus the Risen Lord. It includes the silent presence of Christ everywhere in the universe. Feast of Ascension calls us to live put His presence as witnesses on this earth. How do we bear witness and be witnesses in today’s World?

In the first reading of today we learn that the risen Lord meets his Apostles before the Ascension and ordered them to go beyond Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria and to the ends of the earth. The Apostles did this so the Risen Lord is known and His mission is on throughout the world. Luke writes to the audience, who expected the imminent second coming of Jesus, by remaining idle, looking up to sky without involved in active life and not earning their bread through hard work. Don’t look up to the sky and remain idle, you are called to live an active life of witness, I am with you always till the end of the world and He tells them, you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth. My witnesses refer to carrying and giving the presence of Risen Lord.

The gospel of today answers us how to be His witnesses. Luke is the author for Acts of the Apostles and today’s gospel. He mentions few terms in both the ascension narrative. They are witnesses, go to all nations and from Jerusalem. Jerusalem was the important place in the history of Israel and in salvation History that is in the life of Jesus. Chosen people found hope in Jerusalem after their slavery in Egypt and during their exile in Babylon. Including King David they saw, worshipped and celebrated the presence of the Lord in Jerusalem. Even when Jerusalem temple and city was attacked and destroyed they looked with hope to re-build the structure and their life. So Jerusalem was their joy and hope of Yahweh. Jesus ministry was centered on galilee but His passion, death and resurrection took place in Jerusalem. The Apostles were not prepared and not willing to be and preach in Jerusalem. Jesus tells them, Jerusalem is the place of hope, salvation, redemption and new life. My resurrection and ascension experienced should be carried on starting from Jerusalem to the whole world. We read in the gospel today, they returned to Jerusalem with great joy and were continually in the temple blessing God. Joy is Jesus the risen Lord is in us and among us. His presence with us brings joy and we will meet Him again in glory in heaven gives us hope. Holy Father Pope Francis expressed during his homily on Palm Sunday, “Do not be men and women of sadness: A Christian can never be sad! Again he mentioned on last Friday’s Eucharist, resurrection and ascension help us to see the disciples of joy. He continued, “A Christian is a man and a woman of joy, this joy is totally different from momentary fun. This joy is a gift from God.  This joy is the certainty that Jesus is with us and with Father and a person of joy should witness by giving that to others. I would like to mention Blessed Mother Teresa and our mothers as example for witnessing joy and hope of Risen Jesus. Once she said, “The other day I dreamed that I was at the gates of heaven... and Saint Peter said, "Go back to Earth, there are no slums up here." In other words you still need to witness and give joy and hope of Jesus in the world. She also said, Keep the joy of loving God in your heart and share this joy with all you meet, especially your family. She was considered a Mother of Humanity. Secondly all our mothers, our mothers and grandmothers are witnesses of Christian joy and hope in our life, they gave us faith, they gave us Christ and they were reflecting the Lord’s presence for us. Samuel Jaramillo is a 3year old Columbian boy whose you tube on celebrating mass brought the attention of thousands of people. Samuel wanted not gifts and toys for Christmas rather priest’s clothes and objects to celebrate mass. He has no mother, but he goes to mass with his grandmother on every Sunday and Tuesday which has created a passion for faith and Jesus. God cannot be everywhere so he created mothers. We shall remember all mothers, including single mothers, step-mothers, adopted mothers including spiritual mothers; we acknowledge their life of witness and say, we thank you for giving us life, faith, joy and hope of Jesus.
